Recently
my home work load, my children’s homeschooling and our family’s
social responsibilities began to increase, so much so that I became
overwhelmed and began to cry out to the Lord for help. He led me on
a wonderful road of introspection that revealed many things that I
had obligated myself to in the past months and some things that I
had failed to adjust with the passing of time.
When
I started home schooling my children and became a full time
homemaker three years ago, I could glide through my days with an

Be Content Where You
Are ~

Why is it
that we never seem to be content where we are? If we live in a
small house we want a bigger one. If we live in a big house,
we can get overwhelmed or embarrassed that people think we have too
much and want a smaller one. If we have curly hair, we want
straight hair and vice versa. If we are good at sewing, we
wish we could bake. If we live in the city, we'd love to live
in the mountains. If we travel all of the time, we wish we
could stay home; but those people who stay home long to travel!
Contentment.
It seems so elusive at times and I think we have ourselves to blame.

Laughing
It Off Works Sometimes ~ By Jenn Whitmer
I love to
laugh. When I laugh, it is loud, almost obnoxious, and often
contagious. I think many things are funny, and I love laughing
with others. Although I think parenting is a joyful job, I
don't always think of laughter. I'm an "every moment is a
teachable moment" kind of mom. Find letters on the cereal
box, apologize to the stranger at the park, talk about creation in
the morning carpool; there's always an opportunity to teach our
kids. Sometimes this gets me into trouble, because I can get
too serious about the lesson at hand.
